| On Nov.8th 2005 a Time Attack event
was held by Super Street & Euro Tuner at Buttonwillow Speedway
Park in Buttonwillow, California |
Vehicle Classes were divided into
7 different categories for this event.
Unlimited AWD
Limited AWD
Unlimited FR/MR
Limited FR/MR
Unlimited FF
Limited FF
Drifting
All limited class vehicles had to be street legal, and prove their
legality by driving from a local hotel to the track. |

Time Table of the Event:
7:00AM-
Check-in and begin Tech Inspection
Because we were uninformed of new regulations requiring 5 point or
higher harnesses, our car was almost unable to compete do to it only
having a 4 point harness. Thankfully Signal Auto, another competitor,
graciously allowed us to borrow one of their 5 point harnesses. Another
regulation that we were not aware of, was that the driver side window
must be rolled down or taken out of the door. The passenger side window
also needed to be rolled down or taken out if it was glass. Unfortunately
our acrylic driver side window was bolted in and could not be rolled
down, so we needed to take it out. Luckily, our passenger side window
is acrylic and did not have to be taken out.

| For this time attack, we at C-West USA,
brought our Honda S2000 equipped with a full Carbon Fiber C-West body.
The S2000 competed in the Unlimited FR class and was Driven by Eiji
“Tarzan” Yamada. For this event, we ran the S2000 with a
stock JDM 2.0L motor, to show that our aero-parts can produce great
results, regardless of horsepower. |

Our plan of attack was to use shaved tires for the practice session,
and sessions 1-3, saving a new set of tires for the fourth and final
session, but unfortunately, the fourth session was cancelled due to
time restraints. Perhaps if we had been able to run the fourth session
with the brand new tires, we would have been able to run an even better
time. |

When all was said and done, our S2000 won the Unlimited FR class as
well as set a new FR car course record at Buttonwillow Speedway Park.
We are very proud of the outcome of this time attack. Amidst tough
competition from big tuners such as J’s Racing, and Red Hot,
our vehicle, and aero-parts were able to come out on top, even with
the use of a stock motor. |
